Blossom in mono

I love black and white so thought I`d give it a go with this pic, hope you like

Kit 1
Nikon D40 lens has packed in after only a couple of months, Bennetts so far refuse to replace it

Groupls of flowers can always be difficult to shoot as you can tend to struggle as to where is best to put the focus. Your DoF is lovley and you did well not to blow out the highlights too - which is where i always go wrong with white flowers! LOL

That's very interesting Patch. By using just B&W it gives the flowers a very fragile appearance, very delicate indeed! Great work, you're learning fast.

Very nice well handled shot Patch, the mono I am not sure about. It looks fine in mono but does it look better, there are times when removing colour does produce a better looking image but I am never sure if this applies to most things.

Grey or black and white dogs, no problem, skin texture can look better in greyscale and perhaps badly built of decorated buildings do because it lets you look at the lines without being offended by the colour. Blossom, think I would need to be convinced.
