Wedding Tomorrow

I am photographing my friends wedding tomorrow - they asked me to do it as a favour as the are wanting a cheap wedding, I tried to say no, but it was too hard and I eventually agreed!

I dont feel to good about it tonight - i'm very nervous and damn right scared

Please can any of you give me some advice?

I have my list of photo's to take but how many extra's do I need to do?

Help

Re: Wedding Tomorrow

Hi,

I think it is perfectly normal to feel freaked out on your first wedding shoot

Your friends obviously know what you are capable of , so relax, my advice would be to double check you have everything you need in your bag, like spare battery, your camera is charged, Flash gun, spare outfit incase for you, deodorant etc plenty of Memory cards. Step ladder, umbrella, tripod, can't think of anything else at the minute. A spare camera may be useful.

There is a list of shots on here somewhere, which you might find helpful, have you discussed with your friends what shots they want, so you know for sure they get what they want.

I have never done a wedding, but quite a few people on here have, who will hopefully be able to help you more.

I am sure you willbe fine, and it is normal to be doubting your abilities, I hope that you have a great time, and enjoy it

Suzi xx

Re: Wedding Tomorrow

Sure you will be fine, make a list of the shots you simply must get then any others you think would be a good remembrance.

Watch the backgrounds, take at least 3 shots of each pose at different settings.

Do a list of what you must take and then relax.

Think the person who did a number of weddings has left so you will have to use your own ideas, always best, ask your bride if she wants anything in particular and enjoy yourself, it shows in your shots.

EDIT Sorry composing whilst Moonie was posting.

Re: Wedding Tomorrow

Thank you Suzi

I have talked over the list with my friends and they are fine with that - bag is all packed - gone through it about 5 times already!

I think it's just the nerves talking - once I'm there I should be ok!

I'm going to search here for that list now just to make sure! LOL

Confidence. Don't be afraid to be assertive and tell the couple what you want them to do... Be the No. 1 photographer, don't get pushed out by all the other punters with a camera...
