Getting to Know Yo - April
Hi again....
Thank you all for the feedback from the last (and first) 'Getting to Know Yo' interview featuring the thoughts of Steve L.
This month I thought about a shift from the old and bold (or bald!
)....and introduce some freshness and junior views...
I hope you enjoy getting to know Polo better!

YOP: Hi Polo - Tell us how you got involved in photography?
Polo: Hi, Yoppers...I was given my first camera when I was five. I really got interested in photography when I was eleven though-setting up a mini 'studio' and taking portraits of my kittens and sister.
YOP: What in your opinion creates a great image?
Polo: I think good composition and lighting along with sharp focus are very important to an image. I like to see ordinary objects/animals taken in a fesh, original way maybe from someones own viewpoint.
YOP: Who, if anyone has inspired you - photography or just generally?
Polo: For some reason I've been inspired by the work of Florence Henri recently, particularly her use of mirrors.
YOP: Which type of photography do you find most enjoyable, and why?
Polo: Wildlife photography, I like the challenge of taking unique photos of an animal in its natural environment. Plus the bonus that I don't really need any extra equipment besides my camera and a reasonable lens and occasionally tripod.
YOP: Which type of photography do you find most challenging, and why?
Polo: Architecture. I really admire people who can take fresh, interesting images of architecture. It requires a great deal of attention to detail and of imagination.
YOP: What's your personal fave photograph?
Polo: I'm not sure really, I've got a few favourites.
YOP: What camera/lenses do you use most of all?
Polo: Nikon D40/55-200 and 55 fixed focus equally
