I love the light, and colours in this shot, and the movement of the water on the Lake.

Thanks for looking Suzi x

Re: All's Quiet on the Lake

I like the colours (or is that now "colors") that can be seen in the water.

Lovely shot.

Bet those houses on the shore are expensive

Thank you Steve

Actually the prices are very reasonable compared to UK, lots of the houses here back onto little Lakes or woods, I live at the middle point of the picture.
My house is surrounded by the woods, and looks out onto the lake. never could of afforded a house like that in the UK

It really is a beautiful part of the States

Re: All's Quiet on the Lake

I too like the colours and lighting on the water and sunlight filtering into the trees on the left. It looks a lovely place and I bet will look so different through out the seasons. Perhaps you should do a 4 seasons picture from the same point suzi?

the only thing about the image im not too wild about is that it appears oversharpened. Nevertheless, a tranquil scene.

Re: All's Quiet on the Lake

You live on such a beautiful lake MS Your photo shows it off well...
I like the effect on the water - Love how one side is brightened by the sun & the other side is darker
If you don't mind me asking...How are you enjoying North Carolina?

I am LOVING North Carolina, it's beautiful the weather is nice, people very friendly and helpful. It is also so different, not better or worse, just different.
I think America seems to have the best and the worst of things, does that make sense, a country of extremes

But, I genuinely feel at home already, I really do love it here, I love waking up and looking at a lake, and hearing all the different birds in the garden. I feel very lucky to be here xxxx
