Tree Shadows

Once I'd found my charger I took a walk up the hill to Balvaird Castle today as it turned out to be a nice (but windy) day.

Had to shoot into the sun for these but I just loved the big shadows sprawling out accross the grass on top of the hill.

1.
Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1600)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 10 mm

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/320)
Aperture: f/10.0
Focal Length: 10 mm

I do like the mono one more phil - the eye is drawn on to the shadows opposed to the colour in the image. Great scene selection.

Oooo I like a lot! the Mono has more impact, but love the colour version too

I have to agree with the others here, whilst I love the colours in the first shot they do somewhat overpower the subject. I think the second one works really well though.
