More experimenting [ not dogs ;o) ]

Horrible weather today, rainy and grey, so I had a go with the dull skies setting on for these shots to see how it affected the targets.

Also I was trying to consider perspective, depth, shadow, balance, [ trying to avoid just centering targets ], one focused on a different part of a flower for a change, [ instead of the usual main flower head type shot ], some of unopened buds as the main focus with a fully opened flower in the background instead, some partial coloured edits, and a few other texture/depth shots

Lots of help needed please, I would love to get a really good shot before the flowers hibernate again so I only have the Summer to get a good one

Re: More experimenting [ not dogs ;o) ]

Patch, these are good, you have sharp shots of good but natural colour, including the rain or were you clever and sprinkled them to adds interest. Down side, think a little more thought into the composition would improve them still further.

Composition is subjective so if you are happy with your work thats fine, but if you think you were perhaps concentrating on the one item in the shot and not on the entire image then perhaps this is a side of taking and presenting your work you would wish to look at.
