Father XMas does overtime :o)
I was talking the other day to Father Xmas`s intermediary, aka Daddy 
and tried to wheedle his camera from him - just to borrow you understand *cough* 
- but unfortunately my best pleas were met with much laughter and a strange choking sound which translated as `no` 
So imagine how thrilled I am to find that Daddy had a word with Father Xmas on the quiet and via Daddy and Fedex he delivered me a brand new....
Nikon D40
The battery is charging, manual is in hand, the threads and examples pics here from this camera plus pages on the Ken Rockwell web site which has loads of info and examples for this model are all bookmarked ready for reading
