Springer Spaniel

Just thought I'd post this as it's the first time I've really tried shallow dof (f1.8 50mm) on any of the dogs. I was a bit hit and miss with the focus when they were running about but I think I got the eyes ok on some of the still ones.

Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/400)
Aperture: f/1.8
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 100

Kit 1
Canon 1D Mark 3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Kit 2
1D2 & 40D

Re: Springer Spaniel

Fantastically marked springle - shallow DOF is a toughie especially when your subject isn't flat on to the lens. I think you have caught his right eye very well and also the bottom lip and snout.
