Unbelievable service. (Good too)

My lovely wife has bought me a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod and Manfrotto's fancy 3 way head for my birthday.

Ordered and paid for it online at 2-00pm Thursday, arrived 09-30am Friday from Aspens of Hereford. POST FREE and about £15-00 cheaper than any of their rivals.

If these people can do it, why do some firms think it acceptable to take over a week or more to send an item out and charge you for the privilege of a second rate delivery service??

Top marks to Aspens and Interlink Express who even have the sense to use a 4x4 pick up in our remote rural area and to give their driver a pile of OS maps as satnav doesn't work here either.

Now I just have to sit patiently until next Saturday before I can play with it.
Gift wrapped an locked away.

Re: Unbelievable service. (Good too)

£134-95 including the manfrotto 804RC2 three way head.

Free p&p which is as much as a tenner on other sites so I am pleased with the deal.

I wanted a tripod for getting low down for macro work on wildflowers and the manfrotto goes down to almost flat. The three way head adds some height but it is manageable. My Slik is a conventional tripod so won't do the job.

I will let you know what I think of the manfrotto when the wife lets me open it next weekend.

Re: Unbelievable service. (Good too)

I have purchased a couple of extras quick release plates for my 332 RC2 and 234RC head so I don't have to change it from camera to lens and back again. You might find it useful to do the same depending on lenses of course.
