My bit on the side

The past few weeks have posed a number of challenges for me, but I have decided on a number of issues and have settled on going into child photography

Kanikula Photography will still be running along side - doing weddings ect, but my main focus will now be on .........

DaisyChains photography.
http://www.kanikula-photography.co.uk/index.html

Over the next year I plan on building my portfolio ect ect, and depending on how KP runs this year - it will be going full on ready for 2010!!

Wish me luck xx

Re: My bit on the side

Nice one KK - just remember us when you're raking it in

I think you are perfect for this type of photography, as your PP skills lend themselves very well to 'fun' graphics, that you can use in your backgrounds etc. Keep us posted - and Good Luck! (not that you'll need it!)

Just a few ideas - get your subjects to 'hold' imaginary objects (etc), and then run riot in photoshop afterwards, bet you'll come up with some crackers!

Re: My bit on the side

It's perfect Sam - and the about me section is much better than what you used to have, you now sound and look like a pro tog

I love the branding too, very well done!

Now spend £200 on some colour flyers and go hand them out at pick up time a the local schools, try to incorporate a special offer - as these first clients will not only act as an advert but will help build your portfolio too.

Good luck - let us know how you get on!

Re: My bit on the side

Thanks Azz - Iv got alot of avenues for advertising ect. Im on good terms with 2 of the largest nurseries in Winsford and I am involved with Lukes school a fair bit aswell so hopefully ill be geeting a huge amount of work through them

Jacks creche have my business cards and we are going to host a photographic session there over the summer, where ill be offering 10% discounts on orders

The website is looking great and im just in the proccess of branding all my stationary so will look at getting some flyers done while im at it
