Some I`m actually quite pleased with !!!

Took some shots today and yesterday, and among them are four which I like !!!

Yes they have their faults as usual lighting especially, [ still arguing with the camera about ISO on yucky days ], and backgrounds, [ the agility ones I can`t do much about, the kit is set out for lessons and I just have to do what I can to get pics without being in the way of the dogs and handlers ], but despite the faults I had to do very little to these for a change, the agility ones just minor exposure tweaks and very minimal noise reduction, and the other two just a slight exposure tweak, but it`s the dogs themselves I am happy with, there just seems to be something that little bit `extra` compared to my other shots so far, for me I mean, don`t know if anyone else will see them as any different to the rest but I like how they have turned out anyway considering my current level of [in]competence

A rare fairly clear running shot of Fluke aka Speedy Gonzales [ my Lurcher boy ]

T`Akaya retrieving a ball from a water filled wheelbarrow

Terrier cross at agility, [ yes his coat really is that colour and as smooth as it looks ! ]

Rightly or wrongly in terms of composition etc this is my favourite agility shot so far, a Cavalier for the first time trying the next jump height up from what she`s done before, she must have an inbuilt rocket booster for upward lift bless her

Thanks for looking

Nice series Patch There is a marked improvment in these compared to the last shots you posted. The overall quality seems much better.

Now you are getting the hang of settings you may want to experiment more with angles, composition and focal length. read some of the tutorials about the rule of thirds and have a practice with them.

Bravo! You improved your technique dramatically in just a short period of time. With time you'll be looking for things like overall brightness, leveling and exposure. It takes a while to spot small discrepancies in exposure. With proper editing experience you'll learn how to remove distracting elements, like power lines, from your photos.

I'm proud of you & your eagerness to learn. Keep shooting and posting. Here's an example of tweaks on one of your latest successes.
