A Dog of some kind :)

Yeah okay, I don't know a Dashund from a Dalmation, so I think this is some kind of Collie dog. I don't do many shots of animals, don't have any pets either. I was out taking photos the other day, stood in the middle of a field and up trots this chap, he kept me company for about 20 minutes until his owner and gut (exit stage left) arrived

He was pretty funny, and was as amused about me as I was about him

Anyway, here he/she is.

Thanks Azz,

he does look a bit dim, and I almost didn't use it, but hey, he was a funny dog.

You may not of been sure what breed it was but you have definitley captured the breeds character, in what is a typical Collie pose. Nice one WW!

Thanks Dawn, appreciate it

I have fixed his eye to give him a little less of a dopey look

Re: A Dog of some kind :)

Thanks Dawn

By the way, I love your cat, I used to have a Ginger Tom, beautiful thing he was, so friendly but really well defined and quite strong. Your cat avatar reminds me of him.

Re: A Dog of some kind :)

Great looking collie Allan - from a photographic perspective I like the soft focusing but I do find the three blades of grass and the little clump in the foreground distracting.

You've certainly captured the character of the dog.

Thanks Jack, I was considering cloning them out, but it's the grass across the tongue that really annoys me, and that might be tricky to remove.

Thanks for the comment

All the best,
Alan.
