Derelict boat in Kirkcudbright

Thought it was about time I actually started posting a few images instead of asking questions all the time so here goes, I shot this one afternoon last week on a short break in the borders, I was aiming for a bold image, unfortunately the sky was a wash out so I cropped close, Ive only sharpened it and auto adjusted the coulours slightly.

Any advice will be accepted gratefully
Thanks for looking

Re: Derelict boat in Kirkcudbright

Certainly an imposing composition although I would try to keep the top in so it's not cut off.

Shame about the sky - a good way to fix it would be to take 2 exposures, one for the subject and one for the sky, then merge them.

Like the composition, nice frame filler like Azz says shame the top is chopped off.

It looks a little soft, looked at the exif and was 1/4th of a second exp, was it shot handheld?

Re: Derelict boat in Kirkcudbright

Thanks for the comments guys, yep I know what you mean about cutting the prow off, at least I think its a prow and yep I shot it handheld, Id been walking for hours at that point and was just about done in tbh, so I shot it quickly as a record for next time I was up there.
