Be it of the cops or anybody else I saw nothing wrong (in the old days) with taking a film photo.
I do have a problem with 'digital' though.
When I take what I consider to be a good photograph - I'll no doubt post it on here.
It's unlikely that I'd know anything about it - but I'd be pretty pissed off if I stumbled on a picture of me or my wife and kids on the net.

Well this issue is already discussed to in http://www.yophotographer.com/page.php?t=7045 ..but there is no chance the law will be reversed.
