Cypriot Old Man

Another great character I had the pleasure to meet on my travels.

This 81 year old guy has been a heavy plant mechanic since 9 years of age.

I am going to go back and give him a copy of this picture tomorrow, as promised. I hope he likes it.

I bet his children would love that framed - it's a great capture - I bet they'll recognise that expression.

Did you add some blur in PP? I think it could be turned a tad down perhaps? :-/

What a cracking image! you can see the years of hard work on his face! I agree with Azz, just a tad too soft around is throat, but otherwise its perfect!

That's great although my nose is itching from just looking at that moustache.

I was about to comment on the shallow dof in the first picture before reading the subsequent comments regarding 'blurring'. I'd just asumed (from your kit list) you'd used your 50mm wide open.

I actually quite like the dof/blurr. You've accentuated the glasses, nose and moustache which for me are certainly this man's most distinguishing features.

What a character!!

The blur is a little too much for my taste too, and perhaps tone down the the light area above his head that is a little distracting for me.

I think he and his family will love it

There' a lot of "character" in that face Jack. If you have more of this photo I'd like to see it raised slightly in the frame, plus, I'd edit out the larger & brighter specks in the frontal fur cap.
