Yellow Fields

Right after a rain storm yesterday the colours everywhere seemed so naturally vibrant. I liked the bold juxtaposition of colours and textures in this scene - There is very little PP work on this image.

How you finding the 70-300vr? How does it compare to the 55-200? (Maybe post a little thread up in the DSLR section with your thoughts?)

Re: Yellow Fields

Another one portrait view. I've pp'd this more to make the yellow more vivid and the differences between colours more marked to give a surreal effect.

Re: Yellow Fields

Jr, the second one is brilliant! I can easy imagine that in some magazine or book and I think that over saturated look works well. The first is also a nice image but it doesn't have the impact of the second.

Re: Yellow Fields

Sorry JR it might be that they just arn't my thing but the second is far to Saturated for my liking, and in the first I find the Smoke (I think it’s smoke) on the left hand side very distracting, also I think the filter at the top of the trees is a tad distracting to! But the composition is ok.
