Re: Yogi in the snow

Very nice work, the exposure is really well handled in all the shots. Even more impressive with a white dog and all that snow.

I'd like a little more room in the frames for the yogi to move into in some of the shots, but that is just my preference. Is #2 a heavy crop? Looks a little soft compared to the rest.

A very nice set, well exposed and nice and sharp on the whole

Re: Yogi in the snow

Some lovely shots there Sue! Like the composition in each, although think some are a tiny bit too tightly cropped, Really like the first one tho - fantastic pose and angle

Re: Yogi in the snow

Very good indeed Sue. I dont mind the tight cropping, he's a great subject! Id of liked to see what his attention was fixed on, it would of given a little more to see other than the dog in a couple of shots, a ball was it?

Number 1 and 3 for me, are excellent studies, Id be happy with either or both on my wall, well done!

Re: Yogi in the snow

A lovely set of shots of a beautiful pooch!!

Nicely exposed, not easy to get the white fur exposed without over exposing the snow or visa versa.

Watch you are not too heavy on the cropping... it is also a habit i have too. I love the 3rd one in this set

Re: Yogi in the snow

Thanks everyone for your coments
There was six dogs including yogi that was out, my daughter was throwing snowballs which is what he was looking at, also he was higher than me as he was more up the hill than i was, so was able to get the sky as a background in some of them

Re: Yogi in the snow

Although a nice series of photos I feel they are all underexposed. The white on the edge of your screen page is much whiter than the fur in the photos. I used Elements to Auto-Enhance one of the photos to demonstrate the difference.

Re: Yogi in the snow

Hi Bob, I know you're only trying to help, but if the person hasn't checked the 'edit ok' box then we shouldn't edit and repost their pics without first getting clarification. I know many of us used to do this but only recently I found out that some members do not like it, hence best we stick to seeing if they've said it's ok or not first (by looking out for the edit ok icon). Thanks.
