Re: A few larger birds!

What a great set of pictures there, really like the blackbird but have to say that the hawaiian goose in number 3 is my favourite, excellent work there

Re: A few larger birds!

As someone who has recently started to try and shoot birds I am full of admiration as I have found it not at all easy to get good clear shots. Still I will keep trying as I am determined to get a good shot of a bird one day.

Particularly impressed with the blackbird and whatever number 4 is, both shots are clear and vibrant. do not suppose you organised the light in the fourth image but I find the way it strikes the head gear and accentuates it very pleasing.

Re: A few larger birds!

Wow would you love the parrot cage at the Portland, OR zoo Snapper. It's unique in that you enter their world by going through a double entry door that allows you to be "in the cage". The birds are all around you, within inches. You could literally touch them. Also, they are used to people so they come to you. I need to visit there again soon and shoot a set of photo to show all the brilliant colors of these birds.

Re: A few larger birds!

Lovely set of images, nice and sharp I'm just thinking of how number 4 would look in portrait to include some neck maybe?? but 4 is my fave
