All that he sees...

Some of you will know I don't have my own dog, but enjoyed my walk today with a friend and dog. Yes, ok, can see why many of you enjoy your dogs, lovely company and I enjoyed the fun in the snow.

There were several choice moments with the dog but this one I liked. The dog stopped and just seemed to enjoy the view and take it in. Slowly and intelliegently and without distraction surveying the snowy landscape that was all around. Maybe you see it all the time with your dogs, but looked good to me anyway...

Only posted this for the nice scenery and the dog looking on...

Re: All that he sees...

That's a lovely shot.

Quiet reflection isn't really something my three are renowned for but you've captured a nice moment there.

It's strange how everybody has snow apart from us. 20-40mins in every direction there's loads but we've hardly got any.

Well actually, yes. No wish to upset anybody as I know you all love your dogs, but my experience of dogs is they aren't creatures that truely have an understanding of many situations and certainly not to stop and take in beautiful scenery like this.

He bounded to the brink of a slope, ignored other people and dogs all playing nearby and stood there for a good minute or so seemingly enjoying the view, actually appreciating it and knowing it was something different with the snow. I could almost hear the music from 2001: A Space Oddysey at the start when the first signs of man and intelligence are exhibited... Maybe it will come to some of the moron humans we have to contend with...
