Graffiti

Went out at lunch today to catch the snow and ended up on an entirely different track...

Works ok in colour but need to process it a little better.

Re: Graffiti

Like it BC

I think it could benefit from being raised slightly (so more of the ceiling less of the floor) and straighten the horizontal a tad.

Re: Graffiti

BC - while I'm not particularly struck on the image per se, technically your PP skills are improving. This image displays far stronger contrast, and is well exposed, which by that virtue makes it an interesting image. I'd like to see a focal point in the image perhaps using the lead-in lines of the roof to direct ones gaze into such a feature. Even if it is just someone walking the opposite tow-path.

Re: Graffiti

I've adjusted the image Azz and posted it within the original post.

Oh well JR, you can't win 'em all. I had to take it as it was, nobody about and just one lens so couldn't see many options. I quite liked it.

Re: Graffiti

Subjects like this fascinate me and at the risk of upsetting you I lifted it rotated it 90o to the right and cropped it so the ceiling is about the same size as the water and chopped it of at the light area. Would not dream of putting it back on here but it pleases me because this sort of thing seems to work which ever way you view it.

Hope I am not going to be told off as I was just enjoying your shot in my own way.

Re: Graffiti

I actually like it as it is, it has an almost claustrophobic feel to it, like the roof is coming down towards you. Love the reflection, nice Mono conversion old chap! xxx

This has reminded me I have a load of Grafitti pics , I took last time I was in London, will have to post some

Re: Graffiti

I love graffiti, but agree the shot could be a little straighter.

I like the lines of the celing leading out to the wall. I think the graffiti is the point of interest in this shot, enhanced by the reflection.

For me the one thing that is missing, and it is a big thing, is the colour, graffiti is all about the graphics, the shading and the colours.

Look forward to the colour version.

Alan.
