Airedale Eye...
Just found this while looking through my old photo's, I'm never sure about my close ups, but as not everyone can easily see a shaggy dogs eye...here one is!
Any tips on how to improve, I'm all ears!

I agree with Azz, that you need to get incloser to obtain more detail in the eye - a macro lens would be useful here, or the reverse lens technique

whats the reverse lens technique?
i don't have an slr, so no marco lens sadly
i could try a closer shot though, but this dog who i look after may well head butt me accidently while trying to investigate what i'm up to!! this dog has loads of character!!

if you dont have an SLR you wont be able to do the reverse lens it may not be the best idea if he is likely to butt you anyway! LOL
