Re: Looking For The Matchstick Men

Steven , I really love the first one, it's great It's a great looking bridge anyway, and looks awesome in Mono IMO.I'd have that on my wall! Did you use some sort of filter ? to get the lights like that?

The other two are really good, but the first one is fab!

Some nice work there Ste

On the second photo, I'd have tried to got the white pole thing on the left side out of the shot, as I think it's a little distracting, here's a quick crop to show what I mean:

Nikon 55-200mm VR

Re: Looking For The Matchstick Men

Thanks for the comments, I left the post on on purpose to frame the shot Azz as there was a ''frame'' on the right for balance.

No filter on these MS, just the way they have some out.

Re: Looking For The Matchstick Men

I wondered if it was one of those "star " Filters that make lights go like star bursts. They have come out well, it is a nice effect, even if it wasn't intentional.

Re: Looking For The Matchstick Men

Most likely due to the f/11 I shot at, generally if you want the star-burst effect got for f/22 and smaller.
