Retired or just laze

Guess you know when you are getting old, we have just been offered a contract to film and edit a 2 hour DVD and we are thinking about it. Or perhaps we are getting laze. Can remember the time when we would have been dancing round the room and ordering the takeaway on the strength of it but now we are not sure we want to film outside in March.

If someone had told me I would ever feel like this I would not have believed them, there is a moral I think, grab everything you can when you can because there will come the day when the excitement goes and the donning of the sky pants & fur boots for some outside work is not that appealing.

So to all of you wondering if you can accept the invite to do a wedding or a party I say go for it, cram in everything you can.

Re: Retired or just laze

Very good advice Snapper. I regret not doing things like sky-diving when I was younger... don't think my bones could take it now!

As for you... go for it! You're not passed it quite yet!

Re: Retired or just laze

Thanks for your kind words but one has to be practical and we have decided not to take up the job offered yesterday, although we have both been happy to act as additional cameramen or to do some editing for other people it is a whole different ball game to take on the whole project. It would mean employing additional cameramen, finding someone to do the interviews and of course arranging the commentary voice over once the edit was finished and to be honest neither of us felt we wanted that sort of responsibility anymore, so with regret we have declined.
