Re: Lake District

I think you should certainly take more of them !

It's a shame that concrete block thing is in the first pic - although I guess it makes it different

Re: Lake District

This is a nice series but for me, i tend to prefer really dramatic landscape shots. You have great skies in these shots, take advantage and boost the contrast - really bring out those clouds!

Your processing in recent threads has been spot on BTW - Keep it up x

Re: Lake District

Steven you should do more landscapes, you have a good eye for them,

I think No2 is the best though for me, because of the amazing colours, the view down and across the valley, it's wonderful. Being awkward, I like No1 as it was, with the post next to the track. The light in no3 is fab, I love that lighting it's beautiful.

No5 I am dying to turn it Mono and really dodge and burn it I am into Mono at the moment , sorry

Re: Lake District

I like these very much. I particularly like your subtle post-processing. You've managed to enhance some well taken photos.

Re: Lake District

These are lovely pics and impressive. Would be so useful to have a resume of technical points or the mechanics of actually getting some of these shots - not just these but more within the forum.

If I am honest although No.3 draws my attention it looks like a piece of artwork, the colours and intracies of a 70's rock album cover. I like the picture but looks over processed to me whereas the others are a little more subtle and 'believeable'.
