Re: Chester Zoooooooooooooo!!!

Steven really nice images.

I think no6 is the best for composition, and sharpness, but WoW! those big cat shots are fantastic, and I am jealous too, Whenever I go there I never get a very good shot of the Jaguars

I think No7 is my personal fave though, it's beautiful everything about it, you must be really pleased with this set.

Re: Chester Zoooooooooooooo!!!

I think these are rather average pics, SK, I've seen much better from you. On saying that, it does look as though it was a very dull day and, of course, it was a zoo, So, you are never going to get anything really exciting captured there. The only one I like is #6 but even that would not get my vote.

You're entitled to your opinion, and thank you for the compliment on my other pics. However, I totally disagree with you I am very happy with the set and think that they are far from average. That isn't meant to sound arrogant, just that I really liked this set and that I was particularly pleased with the big cat shots and especially 5 and 7.

Re: Chester Zoooooooooooooo!!!

I love the pelican pose!

I like the other pictures, technically sharp, clear, well exposed, etc.... but can see DJ's point. Capturing animals and birds is all about capturing the character of the animal (or the jizz of the bird). By cropping in so tight you lose a lot of that opportunity. I'd like to see more 'habitat' included in your wild animal bird shots to add to the character of the creature.

Re: Chester Zoooooooooooooo!!!

I must have missed these.

I think they are good shots particularly the 1st... i think the flamingo looks a little soft on the head, although that could be because i am using my laptop at the moment and not my big screen.

Colours are fab on all of them. Have you applied any sharpening? 6 and 3 look a little like they have been sharpened a tad too much... but again could be my laptop.
