Funny/embarrasing Camera stories...
I was going through my photos the other night sorting them out for external filing and I found a shoot from a chiristening i did and i started to giggle. The paticular shot that set me off with the giggles was one of the grandfather.
The conversation after the shot went something like this:
Him: Thats a nice camera, looks complicated. It must take nice pictures..
Me: Um yeah
Him: So are you any good with that thing?
Me: I like to think so
Him: I just bought myself a camera *pulls out P&S from his pocket* I dont know how to work it though, the pictures come out black. Can you look at it for me?
Me: Yeah sure *takes the camera off him.....look at it completley bemused...fondle the buttons somwhat randomly...hands it back* Looks as though you need to pop your flash on. *Grabs my baby of the table and runs away*
Hanging my head in shame as i have no idea how to set up a P&S! LOL

A guy sides up next to me with a P&S (eyeing my camera up without much subtly)
Him: Nice camera mate, what mega pixels is it?
Me: 12.3
Him: Cool! (points to his little P&S) mine is 13 megapixels, so I should get better quality images than you do then.

Why does everyone think that megapixels mean the world?
My brother's phone has 5 MP, and my Fuji has 6.something. Apparently this should make me feel ashamed because his phone is almost as good as my Fuji.

Lol yeah that's so annoying! Used to get that alot when I used my D40
I just used to say it's not comparable because the pixels in DSLRs capture much more information.

Had one just today, moved past some spectators to get a different angle and a lady said to me "who are you doing it for" me "pardon", she "who are you taking the photos for" me "myself", she " you can't be that's a proper camera"

Took pics of a surfer for a local paper and i fell down some steps well about 20 steps but the camera was ok.
The pic of the surfer got in the paper as did a pic of me falling down the steps taken by a fellow tog.
