Been asked to do a wedding!!

Been asked to do a colleague's wedding, after a wee bit of deliberating, I said yes, Graham (Darrieboy) is gonna help out too!
Quiet looking forward to it now.
Now I have one question, Raw or not? Not really shot anything in Raw, so not sure of its benefits, advise very welcome.

Re: Been asked to do a wedding!!

Wohoo! Congratulations Eileen and your trusty assistant

You will be great, can't give you any help or advice, but hope it all goes really well xxxxx

I'd shoot it in RAW Eileen, not that I would shoot a wedding though, too scary

Re: Been asked to do a wedding!!

Thanks you 2! I think I might try taking a few pictures in raw and seeing for myself what they come out like!
I get really nervous doing weddings, done a few, for family and friends though.
This will be the first "proper" wedding and with my new camera too!!

Re: Been asked to do a wedding!!

Depends when the wedding is and where, if its in a really hot place I can see nothing wrong in doing it in the raw, although personally I would cover up those important litle places.

Re: Been asked to do a wedding!!

Agree with Azz. PRACTICE Raw if you ain't used it before. It's not hard, but get used to it i guess before hand.

But do it so you can shoot in it for the wedding as it will allow you to rescue any "bad" shots which could be amazing.

Oh! wow. Well done how exciting, scary yes, but an exciting challenge. Sure if you practice and keep to what you are sure of then enjoy and add your personality to the joyous occasion and for them you will produce the best memories ever.

Pepsi , thats great news!

As for our Raw/JPEG choice its up to you, personally i would shoot RAW is a good safety net incase you miss an exposure.
