Got a commission

Just had a phone call and it was a lady who owns a beauticians near me. I have photographed brides there and she wants me to take some pics of her salon for her website.

Now this is new to me [which i told her] but it is quite exciting and could lead to other work as well.

so thumbs up for me and a good start to 2009.

any tips greatly received.

Re: Got a commission

Take a wide angle lens because of confined space or take several overlapping pics and stitch. I have done a shoot at a wedding reception on behalf of the hall owner for a promo.

Even though it was in a hall and I used a wide angle lens (Nikon 12-24mm) it still needed 3/4 photos stitched together to get the width. You may also find the owner can't make up their mind if they want staff in the shoot or not, if I may suggest taking with and without staff and let the client choose.
