It's Alive!

I finally picked up my Christmas present today, a 2008 Triumph Rocket III Touring motorcycle. I only rode it about 15 miles because of all the fresh gravel on the highways due to last week's snow storm. I'll get plenty more opportunities to test out this beauty I named, "The Beast". First photo below:

Looking good Bob !

I still can't believe that thing is British !

That said - I think one day an Orange County Chopper must grace your driveway.

Re: It's Alive!

My initial impressions were priceless. I really thought I was going to die as I pulled out of the dealer's parking lot. This bike's reputation is so severe I thought there'd be no controlling it. Just the opposite was the case. I'm going to have fun with this bike.

Re: It's Alive!

I can see only one problem with that bike, It doesn't make a cup of coffee. it has everything else going for it, make- looks-power etc, but it don't make coffee.

Well its the end of year so entitled to be silly, wait till next year I will try to get worse.

Re: It's Alive!

Actually it has a power plug & will make coffee. It just doesn't have a bun warmer like my BMW did. LOL

Re: It's Alive!

Think may be the best thing is the single seat, no room for restricting passengers

Hope you enjoy your present to yourself and it takes you to loads of photographic possibilities.

Re: It's Alive!

You're right Snapper, without a rear seat I have room on the luggage rack for groceries, a Christmas tree, or a 4 foot long stepladder. LOL
