Although I think it would have looked better level instead of at an angle - but that's just personal preference!

You really should get a spirit level 
I do think that angles can sometimes improve a pic - I've done this myself from time to time - so a decent effort for sure... You could always crop the pic right down to something like:
Use a letterbox format.
