Glasgow Green firework display

A few pics from the impressive firework display at Glasgow green. Got there with just minutes to find a spot and setup. Missed the first fireworks that were set off and probably the most important to capture, before all the smoke started to hide the rest of them.

Re: Glasgow Green firework display

Good pictures yet again! Has to be the first or last for me. I guess it would be nice to see a little more balance in the left hand side of the image on the sky but I guess your viewpoint is limited by various factors.

Re: Glasgow Green firework display

I quite like the idea this is an image of the river and bridge with the added fireworks and I think I prefer the inclusion even if it pushes the fireworks to the right of the screen. Still as you said it was probably a matter of available view than any artistic choice.

It may have been easier from the other side of the water but however dedicated we can't expect our photographer to tread water inorder to obay the ROT

(snapper - there are other compositional rules other than the rule of thirds.)

I like the idea of including the bridge to add foreground interest, but the bridge is stealing the show from the fireworks, and is worthy of its own dedicated treatment IMO.

That aside, clear, crisp images.

Re: Glasgow Green firework display

Like these DJ, my fave is the first, I like the smoke , adds atmosphere. The last one has the best firework shot for me.Very pretty. Did you go oooo and ahhh as they exploded

Great bridge too. I've noticed on the shots I have seen of Glasgow, the bridges are lit up in a really nice way.

Did, realise that, mind you the only rules I obey are those I have for myself

Think you have a point, when I viewed the shots I thought they should have been called ???bridge in November or some such and then the fact that the fireworks are at one side is not so important, as they are, an aside.
