Re: Which ones best?

I like the first too but wonder if the parents may not prefer the second, don't know, just thought that Mum & Dad would like the girls to look like they are but perhaps not they may like the dreamy one.

They are having the choice of both so I will let you know which they prefer.

Re: Which ones best?

At the risk of being shot to bits... I'm not sure I like either. Let me explain why.

The colour picture is not in focus, and compositionally is unbalanced; I feel it would benefit from a much tighter crop to lose the ugly Lalandii in the background - which is too clearly defined and in focus.

I think the sepia one is over-blurred to the point where you are losing detail, for example in the little pearls which are apparent in the colour image. I saw a few of your earlier shots from the same wedding - the toning changes. Is this intentional? I would be inclined to set & record an action in photoshop which would then apply a uniform approach to toning throughout the wedding portfolio. This because, a. it is more pleasing on the eye, and b. it would become synonymous to your style.

I hope you dont think I'm being too critical - you did ask. I admire anyone who takes wedding snaps for a fee - as you only get one chance.

Re: Which ones best?

Thanks for the input.

The tonal differences are intentional as I treat every single photo of the wedding as a photo in its own right.

I dont want shot after shot being the same, everything has to be different according to the photo.

I give the couple several edits of the same photo to choose from and they can choose their fave for the album. Out of the 200 odd photos I give they can choose up to 34 for the album.

thanks for the input again
