One Christmas Present Almost Finished

Each year since moving to Oregon I've spent the holidays with the parents of my best friend, Warren. They are just one or two years older than me so we have a lot in common. I love them dearly.

Each of the past two years I've made them the Christmas gifts from me. The first year it was a framed portrait of Warren & his 87 year old grandmother that I shot while visiting her in West Vancouver, BC. The second year I gave all three custom T-shirts with a portait of the three of them.

This year I'm going all out and having three of the photos I shot this week custom framed for the new house they just bought. I sure hope they like them for they each are 10"x13". With mattes and frames they're close to 16"x24" each. That'll fill a wall. The representation below doesn't have the exact color of matte or frame but it's close. What do you think?

Re: One Christmas Present Almost Finished

I think its a very nice present bob - cant beat the personal touch.

I do like the composition of your tree picture, which is offset very well by the two accompanying leaf portraits.

Re: One Christmas Present Almost Finished

Such a nice thought. I took one and the only picture I have of my grandmother on my old Brownie 127 as a child. Something I will always treasure so I know for a fact they will do the same.

Re: One Christmas Present Almost Finished

At first I thought it was the pic or your good friends and thought a pic of them in their kitchen oh dear bob NO.

Then I scrolled down and WOW its those pics again and indeed they will LOVE them, as I would each pic compliments the other superbly.

well done bob.

Think that is a lovely gift, something not only personal but beautiful and they also have the knowledge that you made it especially for them. Lovely thought well executed Bob.
