Re: Path through shrubs

I like the bird shots, you have it in silhouette and it is very impressive. The path you walk looks very pleasant as well, I think it is an advantage being a photographer as you learn to really notice the things around you every day.

Re: Path through shrubs

Tullika - capturing birds in flight against a plain bright sky is very difficult. Well done for having a go. I assume you have used a polarising filter?

If I can offer a tip, try and focus on the birds eye (this is generally accepted to be the first point of focus on a bird), try and shop in RAW if you can, you are then able to adjust the shadows and add fill-in light to the underside of the bird.

I've added a photo of the same species (hooded crow) I took in cyprus against a similar bright sky. I hope it helps.

Re: Path through shrubs

Snapper: you are right, that is what attract me. I have my camera with me all the time and wherever I go.

JackRussell: I did not used polarising filter... I do not even have one...
About RAW I heard a lot of pozitive thinhg so I was trying to achieve something about a month ago. Well, I tried to set my camera on RAW, but I did not know, how to get RAW format on PC, how to transfer photos from camera to pc. I had some program, I can not remember whitch, but it did't worked. So, an adivice , I will be grateful...

Aja, I tried to catch a bird's eye, but it is pretty difficult... They were to far from me. I had my dogs with me, so I couldn't come close enough.

But, I will be keep trying....

Azz: thanks, and thanks to believe in me....

clairelou: thanks...
