Bazza, if you don't mind telling how did you keep the colour in the sky, did you use a filter? Enjoyed the images love both reflections, trees & colours of Autumn.

The pictures are as taken, didn't think any editing was necessary. The only filter was a skylight filter which is just clear protective class. The trick I think is not to have too much sky in a picture.

Thanks Bazza, hoped you were going to tell me how to avoid the white sky disease 
have found even with little sky the white bits between the trees is not nice. Never mind back to the drawing board.

i understand what you are saying and all I can suggest is avoiding anything with white clouds. Either go back another time if not too far away if the picture you want to take with a bluer sky. Using filters would only colour the whole photo. You can download a filter prog from OPANDA to save having to buy various filters.
