An Unusual Haircut Tip

I get my hair cut about every 6-8 weeks. Nothing grows on top but the back & sides get shaggy. No Laughing!

I generally tip my favorite hair styler a few dollars to show my appreciation for a job well done. Yesterday, the topic of the morning was digital photography. My stylist, Aileen, has never owned a digital camera & was hoping to get one from her boyfriend for her birthday. That peaked my interest. I asked if she had a computer & she replied yes. She talked about wanting a pink camera, a P&S she could carry with her. She had no idea what she had just done. She had given me all the information to give a special tip.

I left her shop & headed only 100 yards down the sidewalk to a department store where I picked out the pinkest Fuji 10.0 megapixel camera kit I could find. I told the sales lady of my plan so she included a gift sales receipt in the box should Aileen decide she wanted a different camera.

I didn't bother with a shopping bag when I left but simply put the box behind my back as I returned to the hair stylist who was alone behind the counter. I announced that nothing pleased me more than a good surprise as I pulled out the pink box from behind my back & placed it on the counter before her. "Happy Birthday" I announced as I turned & walked out with her face in her hands screaming wildly. Her co-worker yelled out that I should receive the "client of the year" for that one.

She was still screaming as I walked toward my bike to return home. I can only imagine the conversation that folowed that surprise. My next haircut should be very interesting indeed.

Wow Bob, what a lovely gesture! If only more people in this world were as generously minded. Good for you my friend.

Re: An Unusual Haircut Tip

Even though I'm not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. I regard money as a gift from God, for His use & purpose. I'm wealthy because of my family, friends and all the blessings heaped on me by God.

Re: An Unusual Haircut Tip

What a nice thing to do Bob - bet you are her favourite customer now

Lol I won't comment on the god comment as I don't believe there is one I do agree with part of your comment tho, that wealth doesn't have to be about money - having good health and a loving family is way more important.
