Re: Lymington River @ Sunset

Very nice Image Steve.

I am particularly impressed with the clarity, it looks so clean and sharp.

Nice composition and colours too, I like the diagonal lines of the boats.

Re: Lymington River @ Sunset

Thanks Alan

Many people dislike the square format thinking it is not very dynamic but having worked with 6x6 medium format for some time I have come to really like the format.

It does not suit all subjects but for a lot of landscape work I think it works a treat.

Re: Lymington River @ Sunset

Love it, love the boat moorings set out across the image, love the way each yacht has it's own private sunset reflection. Love the forest of masts and can hear the halliard's slapping in the gentle breeze, the eye is drawn from bottom left to top right where unable to leave it returns for another look, you've guesses it is one of those I would take ages to tire off.

Re: Lymington River @ Sunset

Great shot.

Besides the colour (which is nice and rich) the first thing that strikes you is the diagonal composition.

Without knowing what was 'out of frame' I can't see what option anybody would use other than square format for this one.

I like where you've placed the horizon and the way ALL the masts cross it.
