The gate to the field

This big gate makes me laugh whenever I see it...why?????
Well, on one side is a huge hedge skirting the field, but on the other. .... It's completely open, the hedge ripped up, so it is fairly pointlessas you just walk round it and it doesn't keep anything out!

Re: The gate to the field

The whole point of the gate being there is so people can have the pleasure of opening it and shutting it. Stop and think for a moment how stupid one would look pretending to open a gate that wasn't there.

It took brains to work that one out.

I like your logic Bazza

Nice shot moon - I'd love a latch like that - they're expensive.

Re: The gate to the field

They are very effective Phil particularly at pinching the fingers, have one on our front gate and the postman hates it.

Re: The gate to the field

Bazza I like your logic too.

Phil I will take my screwdriver out with me , and agree with Snapper, my Nan had one on her gate, and they really hurt if you don't pay attention crushed fingers

Thanks, I like this shot, and I think toning the colour down worked too. Snapper I love taking shots of wood too, especially bark,I have a little folder of bark shots now to me they are all different anyway, don't post them as ... Oh look a piece of bark, another piece of bark
