Competition Winners
I have just won 1st prize for three out of four catagories from the Cyprus Lifestyle Magazine.
Best Portrait: >The Corn Seller
Judges comments: A wonderful shot which captured the subject's mood, enhanced by the use of black and white colouring.
Best Sports & Action: In flight
Judges comments: Sports shots are some of the hardest images to capture as there is always so much movement. In this photograph the subject has been captured and framed perfectly.
Best Digitally manipulated: Chains
Judges comments: Not only is this a great photograph, the use of perspective and his manipulation of colours gives the image a more intense feel.
The competition was judged by an Army photographer, Navy Photographer and a Royal Air Force photographer. What is more pleasing is that there were over 2000 images submitted - some by professional photographers.
Ive won a trophy 'CLS Photographer of the year', a 4'x2' canvas block print of any of my images, a goody bag full of photography gear, and a day in a professional photo studio on an assignment.
