lens price variation
I have been looking at the price for a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR lens on the net.
Found the price varies from £1037 to £1500+. What I want to really know is the actual price retailers buy in at bearing in mind the 17% vat + 33.3% shop markup+ import duty. Working it out it comes to about £570 at the cheapest price. Take off the manufactures profit, say 20%, means the lens cost to make is around £456. That works out to over £1000 added to the real price of manufacture.
Interesting isn't it.
