Crater Lake National Park
Last year a friend & I road our motorcycles to a rally in coastal California. On the return trip we decided to chance a stop at Crater Lake National Park in southern Oregon. It was early May and snow was still everywhere. We were thrilled to discover the upper rim road had just been plowed, allowing us to ride to the top of the crater to view the famous lake. It has some of the deepest, purest blue water of any body of water on the planet. Formed from an ancient volcano the lake features a small island dubbed Wizard Island. As it turned out the snow added even more beauty to an already postcard shot.

I am truly blessed to be living here. I only hope I can afford to remain here when I retire in 5-6 years.
