Re: My dog

CM, I'm assuming you have captured a moment here...rather than actually set this shot up by posing the dog, and positioning it right where you want it....therefor...Well done! Nice capture!

True...the logs are a similar colour to your dog's coat, but I think those little shrubs frame him/her just enough to get away with it.

And please don't worry about chopping the most minute portion of the dog's ear off!!!
COME ON AZZ!!!! WHAT'S WITH YOU?????

The image draws you right to the dog's eyes, which is exactly where you should be drawn.
To mention that tiny, tiny, tiny tiny portion of the very very tip of the dog's ear is unjustified criticism....and I don't know....just plain old nit-picking!

Nice edit too CM

Re: My dog

Hang on a tick! I thought this had the C&C prefix when I posted in it? If not I apologise

I've deleted my comments, and will comment without C&C in mind:

Great shot Cameramad - love the pose in this shot, you've captured a super expression on the dogs face

Re: My dog

Not sure if the image has enough range to be a HDR but wow he has intense eyes!! In agreement with MD that the grass frames him beautfully, and i personally feel the logs work well in this shot

Steph, a HDR is a composite of 3 captures. One over exposed, one under, and the last correctly. They are then merged in either photoshop or a dedicated program to create on very detailed shot. HDR = High Dynamic Range

C&C is a specific request for other members to critique your work in a more tecnical way

Aw you have done nothing wrong (hugs)

Set up shot or a quick capture, I love it Max has stunning intense eyes and you caught that , so be proud of this shot, it is great, and I wish I could capture my dogs so well

It is a great relaxed portrait of a dog, and I like the logs too, you can tell he is being watchful. I recognise the gaze

Hey don't worry CM

Basically, in this section when you post, you can 'prefix' your thread with either the C&C label, or the HDR label (we'll probably have more labels in future).

The HDR label just means you are posting a HDR picture, whereas the C&C label means you are requesting C&C (Comments & Critique)

When the C&C label is used people are more criticial of the pictures posted as the poster is looking for ways to improve those pics

Hope that makes sense! And keep posting
