Two Days, Two States, Two Mountains

I had an oppertunity, early in June, to get away for a weekend adventure. It was a freak warm up in what has been a nasty winter in the Pacific Northwest. On Saturday I took a motorcycle ride to Timberline Lodge on top of Mt. Hood, OR. On Sunday a friend & I rode to Mt. St. Helens,WA for the 28th anniversary of the explosion of Mt. St. Helens. Both days had beautiful 85 degree temperatures and blue skies.

Re: Two Days, Two States, Two Mountains

Imagine living in an area where, on a drive to the grocery store, you see Mt. Hood, in all its majesty, right in front of you. I love my new home in Oregon. So many scenic possibilities, so little time to shoot them!

Isn't Timberline Lodge the 'Overlook hotel' in the film The Shining ????

Don't know about that connection to The Shining.
