Local walks and some views

Hi everyone,

Had a bit of a walk a few weeks ago on probably the windiest day ever but got a few pics...

3. I loved the look of this dead tree. It just stood out somehow!


4. A different place entirely but a nice view anyway...

I like the second shot the most. Your rendering of this shot in B&W adds to the wonderful texture variations in the scene. I love trees as either the main subject of a photo or a framing element.You might want to add a polorizer to your D40 to help the skies. I use a D40X and never leave home without one. An example of what a difference it can make is posted below.
