Camera batteries

Have you ever tried to get a spare ORIGINAL battery for your camera? Its nearly impossible. Yes they are plenty of companies offering batteries but on closer inspection they are made by other companies. So many pretend to be the correct battery until you look at the manufactures product code and find they are copies not the original.

Well I spent some time searching the web and those that did have the original, including postage, came to over £50. I went back to a company I have used before in the UK called Microglobe, they are about the cheapest, for at least the Nikon EN-EL3e battery ( Nikon product code 25334), and including postage came to £34.99.

So do be careful when buying batteries, check the manufactures product code, then have a look at the above supplier their prices are hard to beat.

Re: Camera batteries

Just received the battery as above, and all I can say is what excellent service that company gives. Don't know about other products but theirs is the definate place for original lower priced batteries.

Re: Camera batteries

Phil

Bit cheaper if they are genuine Canon batteries, you have to be so careful as there are lots advertised as "similar to". One stop is a Channel Isle based company if my memory serves me correctly. That particular battery is shipped direct from Hong Kong, according to their shipping info, and batteries/cameras can be made for that region of the world (far east) can vary from UK stock, so this is what you have to be aware of. They may not have all the functions,( ie battery power/life info readout) on the camera which may ,and I only say may, be the reason they are that much cheaper.
