Brecon Beacons (Part 1) (Warning dial-up users!)

First of I have to say that this is just the tip of the Beacons, originally I just wanted to drive up to check out the area for a future date, ie find where it is, best place to park etc. Anyway got there and just had to do a little walk! But only climbed up one area of the first mountain, and looking at Google map, there's a lot more beyond. But it was getting dark and cold so decided to turn back, not bad considering today was only meant to be a trial run!

Secondly, I have to say I fell in love with the place, it is simply stunning and it's only 45mins from Cardiff!! (Straight up the A470). Only 25 Minutes from Pontypridd.

From what I have seen so far, out of all the places I have been both here and abroad (mostly europe) it is one of my most favourite! I hope it isn't just puppy love and I feel the same way next time Even the sheep were friendly

So please bear in mind that most of the pics were taken late and are only of a small area of the Beacons.
