I'm not entirely sure of it's history Jols, but it is actually a Gate House of some sorts, and sits at one end of a bridge, which crosses a river, and leads into the forest you can see to the right.
Now...
What is it the gate house to?
And what lies inside that thick forest?

This little river flows into Loch Laggan, and just at the other side of those 4 trees in the middle of the picture, is where my Loch Laggan shots were taken from. ( landscapes )
