Sheer luck

I was driving along a country road today ( B.H. Monday ) and I stopped the car, and got out to take a shot of these...


...but to my amazement, this little cutie instantly ran out from under my feet...



...I'm not very good with birds, but I think she's a Pheasant.

She kept running towards me....then stopping...staring at me...then running a few feet away again...then stopping....staring...running towards me....running away...
It's almost as if she wanted me to chase her



And I soon realised why....



These two little rascals soon popped up when they realised I wasn't a threat
They had been hiding in the long grass, and I didn't even see them.
That's why the mother was so keen to direct my attention towards her.

But as I left...I thought " what are the chances?" I could have stopped ANYWHERE along that road, but I just so happened to stop at the exact place where this little family were enjoying the bank holiday sunshine

Yes it's a hen Pheasant and her ickle babies, they are really cute , you are so lucky, as you say what are the chances of stopping just there, it's shots like these that I jsut love, unexpected and gems
