Vapour trails
I took this one couple of years back while out in the top fields doggie walking when the sky was an almost vivid blue.What was so strange that morning is that we're not in a flightpath for commercial air traffic,but apparently there was bad weather over the west of the country so it was all diverted to the east.
I was also told though that they are not vapour trails,but pollution spilling out of jet planes,but i cant remember what the phrase is!

Phenomenal picture, great depth and colour
Oh and contrails are ice crystals formed when the water from jet engines condenses rapidly in the cold air ...and not polution
However, too many contrails can create a weather system all their own (-Airlane nut house here 
)
