Thanks all!
He escaped into the neighbours garden earlier
despite me trying to make it dog proof he somehow got through!! They love him tho and gave him lots of kisses and fusses - no doubt he felt rewarded for going! He's such a softy tho I couldn't be cross with him even if I tried! (And he knows it the bugga!)
